Olá!
I’m Teo Horta, a Visual Designer based in Naarm/Melbourne.
With 15 years experience in Brand and Communication Design, I have built a practice rooted in close collaboration, curiosity, and hands-on making. I believe process is just as important as the final outcome, and that design works best when it amplifies meaningful stories. Having worked in both studio and in-house settings, I have led projects for local businesses and international organisations across arts and culture, sustainability, public innovation, ecology, and human rights. Currently teaching at RMIT University.

For 10 years, I co-founded and led Estúdio Marujo, an award-winning design studio based in Brasília, Brazil, working with local businesses and cultural initiatives. Guided by the belief that the journey is better when we go together, the studio embraced a collaborative design practice that invited clients into every stage of the process. By the time I stepped away in 2022, I had contributed to over 150 projects, from first conversations through to final delivery.
Between 2020 and 2023, I worked as Senior Design Consultant with the newly formed Media and Communications team at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights [IACHR], an autonomous body of the Organization of American States (OAS). During this time, I helped establish design processes within the organisation and led the creation of visual identities, human rights reports, and social media awareness campaigns. Central to my work was exploring accessible, inclusive, and non-discriminatory ways to communicate complex human rights issues with clarity and care.
