The Cerrado biome highlighted
The Cerrado Biome Rescue Scout Handbook is an initiative of Salgado Filho Air Scout Group, from Brasília. The material was prepared by a team of forest engineers and zoo-technicians and presents a very detailed guide to the biome of Brazil's Centre-West region. With a hands-on approach, the content presents a general overview of the region's fauna and flora and proposes activities for recognising and preserving the environment.
Concept
To make the content attractive to cubs and scouts (6-14 year-olds) all over Brazil, we have developed a series of illustrations of animals and plants. The scenes depict the passage of time throughout the pages. For the editorial project, we chose a format and page layouts that allow for home printing on A4 sheets by groups that wish to explore the content of the booklet in their activities.
