The Cerrado biome on spot
The Cerrado Biome Rescue Scout Handbook is an initiative of Salgado Filho Air Scout Group, from Brasília. The content was prepared by a team of forest engineers and zoo-technicians and presents a very detailed guide to the biome of Brazil's Centre-West region. With a hands-on approach, the handbook shows a general overview of the region's native species and proposes activities promoting connection with and protection of the environment.
Concept
To make the content attractive to young scouts (6-14 year-olds) all over Brazil, we have developed a series of illustrations of animals and plants. The scenes depict the passage of time throughout the pages. Book format and page layouts prioritise accessibility and low-cost reproduction allowing home printing on A4 sheets by scout groups that wish to explore the content of the booklet in their activities.
