Water Resources Plan for the Paraguay
River Hydrographic Region
Prepared by the Brazilian National Water Agency, the Water Resources Plan for the Paraguay River Hydrographic Region (WRP Paraguay) guides actions for conservation and use of water in the Brazilian section of this basin for the future. The report is the result of a participatory process that brought together various actors of both governments and civil society. It offers an overview of the issue in order to inform decision-making towards water sustainability in the region.
Concept
Divided into three sections that detail its elaboration process, the plan presents a large amount of data diluted in the form of maps, infographics and illustrations to make reading accessible to different audiences. Each section opens with an infographic on fold-out pages that serves as a visual summary of the content to follow. The graphic language relies on a handmade touch to depict geography, fauna, flora and economic activities of the region.
